Ellen has been practicing occupational therapy across the state of Iowa for over 30 years. Most of these years she has spent working with children in school systems. Nearly 20 years ago, she developed the concept for this paper out of a need to improve the legibility of her students' manuscript and cursive writing. Knowing that it has shown remarkable results for the students and because it was time consuming for the teacher or therapist to prepare, she decided to initiated a professionally printed version of the paper.
